A Life of Purpose & Public Service
Born in Ndamunge, Runyenjes, Cecily Mutitu Mbarire grew up in a family rooted in service. Her father served as Member of Parliament for Embu North. She followed his example and surpassed it, becoming the first woman to govern Embu County.
A graduate of Egerton University and holder of a Global Executive MBA from USIU, Governor Mbarire brings over two decades of parliamentary experience, championing healthcare, reproductive rights, agriculture, and clean energy.
